11 Reasons Why People Don't Go to Church

Before going into details about the reason why people don't go to church. it is very important to know that there is no perfect church. Every church is working towards perfection.





1. People in Church are Judgemental.

You are probably enjoying things that you know the Bible says are sinful, why not show the judgemental people that their judgments are wrong instead.

2. The church is irrelevant, the leaders are hypocritical and leaders have experienced too much moral failure.

There is no perfect church, let your focus be on Jesus and not your Pastor. Study the bible and let the bible be your standard. 

3. God Is Missing In The Church

What kind of church do you attend? A Church is only a Church when Jesus is involved. Jesus cannot be separated from the church, It is like taking a branch off a tree and thinking it will survive.

4. The Practice of Religion and not Christianity 

This has really discouraged so many in this modern world, The reason why there is a revolution in churches all over the world is that the practice of religion has failed people, Christianity is Good news and anything outside this is Religion.


5. They are not finding the community.

Most Churches actually have CSR- Corporate Social Responsibility, that is not so popular, You need to get your facts right. Don't base your Judgement on assumptions. Most churches have an impact on lives and community, they don't have to make noise about it

6. The Music is outdated and not in keeping with the current style.

I will like to state that each church has got its own doctrine, if you need to be in a church then you have to agree with their doctrine, most time the kind of music a church does is dependent on their doctrine. why not find a way to join the choir to influence them instead of complaining.

7. The preaching is dull and not relevant to daily life 

There is a question to be asked here, what kind of church do you attend?). Don't shut your ears when in church, only the SIMPLE understands the gospel, don't always think you know more than the preacher, you need to be in this state to be able to understand the Gospel.


8. I have not found a better Church.

Then you will have to search till eternity because there is no perfect church here on earth, every Christian is working towards perfection.

9. Someone in church hurts me, so I refuse to go back.

Do you resign from your workplace because your colleague or boss hurts you? I am sure you are not in church because of your pastor or other brethren, you are in church because of yourself, you are not even there because of God.

10. The Church only wants my money.

Some facts should not be generalized, there are churches whose focus is to impact people and community. But money is also needed to run the church, we all want a conducive environment as a worship place, we want good air conditioning, good furniture, good lighting e.t.c. Apart from that giving offering and tithes is God's commandment.

11. No one notices when I am absent.

Do you associate with the members? The pastor can't know everyone, that is why you are encouraged to mingle when you come to church, the church is not just for worship, it is also for companionship and relationship.
