Most times, as a Christian you don't have enough time to think over the questions and give them the right answer. Kids surely say the darndest things. HERE ARE SOME TIPS
When kids ask questions they want genuine answers and they want a solution to what is on their mind. So as an adult, you have to be prepared to give them right answers that will give them a sound knowledge of the matter. Make sure you don't confuse them, just be truthful and let them know what your reasons are for giving them that kind of answer.
Above all it is very important to always rely on the Holy Spirit for answers at all time, but it is good to always have information before the question time. Remember to quote some scriptures when necessary, make it simple when explaining to them. Don't confuse them? LET THEM KNOW YOUR STAND, DON'T STAY ON THE FENCE, BE TRUTHFUL.
1. HOMOSEXUALITY
Why do some men marry their fellow man?
Homosexuals are people who are attracted to the same sex. it is not right for a Christian because Jesus does not like it, however, Jesus loves everyone, he just hate their sins, The fact that people do it doesn't make it right. when God created human, he created Adam and Eve, if he had wanted us to practice homosexuality, he would have created two men or two women in the garden of Eden. The Bible is our standard and so we have to follow every instruction in it to get to live a fulfilling life on earth, a life void of regret, sorrow, and guilt.
2. TERRORISM
Why did the man blow himself up and killed many people?
Some men are just out there to confuse people and brainwash them to fulfill their own dreams, They are happy when people die and they are being used by Satan to make people sad, some of them are told some lies like telling them that if they blow up themselves and some innocent people, they will go to heaven, you can't kill yourself and some innocent people and go to heaven, that is suicide and murder. While there are some other terrorists who are just psychologically disturbed and want to bring out their frustration through killing people. Jesus does not hate anyone, he does not want anyone to go to hell. terrorist are people that are just misinformed. Jesus wants everyone to be happy by knowing Him.
3. PEDOPHILE
Why did the man abuse the small girl?
The devil does not want anyone to have a happy life so he is always on the lookout for people whose mind are idle so that he can use them to destroy peoples destiny, the man is a pedophile because he is attracted to children, which is not an appropriate thing, This is God's standard. however, the pedophile is being driven by Satan but he is still loved by God and God does not want anyone to perish. Children are supposed to trust their parents and report anyone that try touching them in their privates, they should not let anyone put fear in them.
4. SMOKING AND DRINKING ALCOHOL
You said drinking and smoking were bad, but Uncle Sam does it?
The fact that Uncle Sam does something does not make it right, the fact that the bible condemns it makes it wrong no matter who does it. Smoking was not mentioned in the bible but it injures the body, and Jesus is not happy when we are injured so why should we deliberately get ourselves injured by taking alcohol. Our body is the temple of God and the Holy Spirit dwells inside our body. Smoking also affects the lungs. Drinking Alcohol is mentioned in the bible and drunkenness makes you misbehave and overreact. Foolishness is linked with alcohol in the bible. you cant walk with Jesus and have the connection with foolishness, Jesus Himself is Wisdom, Excessive Alcohol injures our body. You have to be in your right senses to hear God talk, which you can't do when drunk.
Don't ever shut them up, they need answers.
